Jaguar CD game that was completed in April of 1996, but was
never commercially released. Robinson's Requiem is an adventure
game where you must escape imprisonment from the alien planet
Zarathustra. But escape, and survival, are not going to be easy!

| Black Ice/White Noise |
| |
| Black Ice/White Noise was an ambitious game in
development for the Atari Jaguar CD unit before Atari dropped
support of the system. Ambient Distortions recently managed
to secure the rights to release an alpha version of this third
person perspective adventure game, featuring stunning 3D graphics
and innovative gameplay. An early (revision 18) version of this
game has already been released, but a recently found higher
revision (revision 22) will also be displayed. |

Advance titles at the Austin Gaming Expo. While we can't yet
reveal what these games are, you'll be able to play them on
several Gameboy Advance SP systems setup at the Aspyr Media

AtariAge will have several new Atari 2600 and
ColecoVision games available for sale at the Austin Gaming

5200 and ColecoVision. Here are the new games that have been
announced thus far:
New Products
| Climber
5 - Atari 2600 |
| |
| Climber 5 is a port by Dennis Debro of
an Atari 8-bit computer game that originally appeared
in COMPUTE! magazine back in 1987. In Climber you play
the role of a baseball player. The baseball has been hit
to the upper rafters of a building under construction.
Your job is to climb the ladders and retrieve the ball.
Of course, there are obstacles along the way that you
need to avoid or you lose a life and must start over at
the bottom right corner. Once you successfully retrieve
the ball, the level changes and becomes more difficult.

| CVDRUM
- ColecoVision |
| |
| CVDRUM is a ColecoVision cartridge by E-Mancanics based
on popular software and hardware drum machines, and it
enables the user to create up to 9 different one measure
musical rhythm patterns. These patterns can then be arranged
into a 56 measure maximum rhythm sequence, and the sequence
can then be looped for musical performance. The tempos
are also close enough that it can be used in concert with
Paul Slocum's Atari 2600
SynthCart. CVDRUM software uses the ColecoVision's
sound chips to create 8 different drum like sounds that
have the vintage 8-bit sound. MP3 examples and additional
information can be found at colecoprog.tripod.com. |
 |
| |
| Labyrinth
- Atari 2600 |
| |
| The Austin Gaming Expo will see the debut if a long-lost

Atari 2600 title, Labyrinth.
Labyrinth was listed in an early Starpath
Catalog, but was eventually released as Escape
From the Mindmaster. Labyrinth is an obvious work-in-progress
version of Escape From the Mindmaster, but with many changes
from what was finally released (different mazes, sounds,
music, etc.). It was recently discovered in an eBay auction
with other Starpath titles by Marvin Lambright of the
NorthWest Classic Games Enthusiasts.
Labyrinth will be released in a DVD-style case in CD form,
so it can be easily used with a Supercharger or Cuttle
Cart. |

| Star
Fire - Atari 2600 |

| Star Fire is an Atari 2600 port of the 1979 arcade
game of the same name created by David Rolfe and Ted
Michon and released by Exidy. Star Fire is being given
new life on the Atari 2600 by veteran XYPE programmer
Manuel Polik. Star Fire is a wave-based space shoot'em-up,
with several surprises that you won't find in the original
arcade game. The game also features a unique title screen
programmed by Thomas
Jentzsch with music by Paul
Slocum. The game will feature original label and manual
artwork created by Dave Exton. |
 |
| |
| Thrust+ Platinum - Atari 2600 |
| |
| XYPE programmers Thomas Jentzsch and Paul Slocum have
joined forces up to create Thrust+ Platinum, an updated
version of Thomas Jentzsch's Atari 2600 port of the Commodore
64 classic, which itself took cues from the Atari coin-op
game Gravitar.
Thrust+ Platinum is now enhanced with a great title theme
(listen to it here)
composed by Paul Slocum, as well as several other audio
enhancements. These audio enhancements add further polish
to what was already one of the finest homebrew games on
the 2600. Additionally, a new label and manual have been
designed by David Exton, who has been the creative force
behind artwork gracing many other homebrew games, including
the upcoming Star Fire 2600 game by Manuel Polik. |

| Cat
Trax, Funky Fish, and Pleiades - Atari 2600 |
| |
AtariAge recently released the games Pleiades,
Funky
Fish, and Cat
Trax in cartridge form, complete with boxes, manuals
and labels adorning original artwork created by Dave Exton.
These three games were developed but never released for
the Atari 2600, although they did make an appearance on
the Emerson Arcadia. Two of the games (Funky Fish and
Pleiades) are ports of arcade games of the same name,
while Cat Trax borrows its gameplay from the often-copied
Pac-Man.
The Austin Gaming Expo will be the first gaming show where
these titles will be available for purchase. All three
games will also be available for play. |
 |
| |
In addition
to new products, AtariAge will also have demos of the
following homebrew games still in development:

Challenge - Atari 2600 |
| |
| Simon Quernhorst, author of the Atari 2600 homebrew

and Marble
Craze for the 2600. |
 |
| |
| Adventure
II - Atari 5200 |
| |
| Adventure II is a sequel to the classic Atari 2600 game
Adventure,
but is being programmed for the Atari 5200. The sequel
will be larger and more detailed than the original, with
four kingdoms, swords and keys, hedge mazes, brick-layed
castle interiors, and three very hungry dragons attempting
to cut short your quest to return the stolen chalice to
the Sandy Kingdom's Castle. Adventure II will be sold

year. |

- Atari 2600 |
| |
| Bounce! is a new Atari 2600 game being developed by
Fabrizio Zavagli (author of Space

on a checkered playfield, where your goal is to destroy
all the tiles by bouncing on them without falling down.
Different tiles also have different properties: some force
your movement in a given direction, some give you a higher
jump, and others cannot be destroyed. Bounce! is slated
to be released later this year. |

| Cuttle
Cart 2 - Atari 7800 |
| |
| Hot on the success of the original Cuttle
Cart, Chad Schell is ramping up for production on
its successor: The
Cuttle Cart 2. The Cuttle Cart 2 is a cartridge for
the Atari 7800 that allows you to easily load game binaries
into the cartridge for play on the system. The Cuttle
Cart 2 uses an MMC (MultiMediaCard) that you load up with
Atari 2600 and 7800 games. You then insert the MMC card
into the CC2, power the system up, and select games to
play from an easy-to-use onscreen menu. The Cuttle Cart
2 has many other improvements over the original, and you
can learn all about it at Schell's
Electronics. The Austin Gaming Expo will be the first
public appearance of the Cuttle Cart 2! |
 |
| |
| Gravity
Ball - Atari 2600 |
| |
| Gravity Ball is a new 2600 game being developed by Robert
Mundschau. In Gravity Ball you fly a ship where you can
shoot at your opponent or ram the gravity ball and pick
it up. Pressing fire while holding the ball will launch
it out the back of your ship instead of firing a shot.
The gravity ball exerts a gravitational field that pulls
on the ships and the shots. The ball is not attached to
the floor, so it gets pulled towards the ships. Shooting
the ball into your opponent's goal scores points. Players
can pull on the joystick and activate a gravity field
generator in their own ship to try and suck in the gravity
ball or knock it off course from their goal. Experience
the latest version of Gravity Ball at AGE! |

Man is to catch balloons and Pac-Men on your head, stacking
